We could use Kalamazoo’s help.

Early this morning, our lot off Ravine Road near Skate Zoo was broken into. Several saws and other miscellaneous tools were stolen from our trucks and equipment.

These guys obviously knew what they were doing. They came prepared, moved quickly, and knew what they were after.

We have surveillance footage of the vehicle involved and are working to gather as much information as possible. If you recognize the vehicle or people in these videos, saw anything suspicious in the area, or have security cameras along Ravine Road or nearby, please check your footage from the early morning hours of September 4.

These aren’t just tools. They’re how our crew makes a living, and replacing what was taken is not insignificant.

One tree. Two victims.

This maple on Elizabeth Street in Kalamazoo came down hard, landing on the vehicle in the driveway and punching straight through the roof of the house. You can see the hole it left behind. That is not just shingles, that is decking and framing exposed to the elements.

We got the tree off both the car and the roof so the homeowner could get insurance involved and repairs started the right way.

Oak Forest Circle in Kalamazoo - fitting name for a job like this.

A massive oak came down and buried this home completely. You can barely find the roofline in some of these photos. We brought in the Teupen spider lift to carefully work through the canopy and get the tree off the structure piece by piece without causing any additional damage.

Jobs like this are exactly why having the right equipment matters. A chainsaw and a ladder would not have cut it here.

A dead oak came down in Sturgis and nearly took the entire deck off this home. A few more feet and it would have been a very different conversation. Dead trees do not announce when they are coming down, they just go.

This Kalamazoo home had a large tree come down right across the front of the house during the recent storms. Branches over the roof, debris across the whole yard, and a front door you could barely get to.

This Kalamazoo home was fine before the storms rolled through. A large maple came down and punched right through the roof. We got out there, removed the tree, and cleared the yard so the homeowner could get repairs started.
