It’s Spring 🌱 and fresh glass is coming to the Artworks! 🙌

I have a new flying hummingbird design! I used iridescent red and white Wissmach glass in these little beauties and all are finished with a black patina. I’ve also brought back a few birds on pewter branches that were so popular. I hand cast the pewter into molds then clean it and solder my birds to them. (Video showing how I cast pewter coming soon!) The branch bases have two holes so that they can be easily attached to just about anything. While I do not suggest exposing them directly to the open elements, they can be safely installed on a covered porch and are very durable and somewhat weather resistant.

All of these new items will be available exclusively at the Artworks this afternoon! I currently have only one cardinal but more will be coming soon!

DISCO SNAIL! 🐌 🪩 💃🏼🕺

I heard the Disco Snail song a few months ago and I just KNEW that I had to make one! I used 33 pieces of high quality mirror, 3 pieces of Oceana molted glass and 3 pieces of Wissmach iridescent glass. Special care has to be taken with mirror, delicate handling so as to not scratch the backing. I also sealed the sides of each piece to prevent mirror rot. I absolutely LOVE how this groovy guy turned out! He’s even showing off some bling haha.. 📿 Only one made and available right now at the Artworks in Kane!

Kawaii frogs, Kawaii snails, mushrooms, flowers and Bitty bugs!! 🐸 🐌 🍄 🌼 🐜

I’m so in love with these kawaii frogs and snails! I’ve been recently experimenting with glass paint (which is baked on for durability) to give my pieces more detail than I could with just solder and wire. It’s so much fun to work with! I also added little spot details to the mushrooms. And how about those adorable bitty bugs! The legs can be adjusted in whatever position you want!

Butter Anyone? 🧈

This piece was a blast to design and work on! Something a little different from the norm. I used wispy buttercream yellow, clear yellow and clear yellow glue chip all from Wissmach glass. The “Salted Butte” words are painted on with glass paint and baked on/cured for hardness and durability. Seriously though, who doesnt need a huge butter hanging in their kitchen window?! Only one available! 🧈

Peacock jewelry box

I have one peacock jewelry box available at the Artworks. I used iridescent clear for the lid and iridescent black for the base to give it an extra shimmery look. The sides are a beautiful textured green glass. I also finished this piece in an antique brass patina and added brass filigree on the sides as well as the peacock emblem on the lid. This box measures approximately 2”x3”x3”.

Special edition Cardinals
Moon and star nightlights

I am pleased to offer these special edition Cardinals! I used beautiful iridescent red glass and finished in a copper patina for a color combination that is absolutely gorgeous! I made several hanging ones as well as a few nightlights. These will only be available until sold out.

I also have new moon and star nightlights available in different color combinations and finished in black patina. I used iridescent white for the moon and star in each piece. Nightlights make great Christmas gifts and are available at the Artworks! 🌙 ✨
