Full bathroom remodel that required tearing out all the drywall, tile flooring, breaking up a cast iron tub, tile that was on floated out concrete/mortar, as well as a adjacent vanity area in the bedroom outside the bathroom. Fun project that a million tile leveling clips and alot of home owners patience later turned out looking good. I typically do not like longer projects since they tend to wear on a clients patience even when things do not go off the rails, but I was able to get the project done for cheaper than anyone else would have quoted and they are happy with the finished bathroom and vanity area.

Bit of exterior porch and patio work. Plywood used for a faux shiplap look that would show a real wood grain and last the test of time. New crown molding to finish the look and blended at the transition.

This past weeks work. Did the quote and discussion six weeks before on this property in Noda on a addition built on, so I had thought they went with another company, but they finally called after a delay with inspections and wanted to run with it in a hurry. Ceiling repairs on the master bedroom and recover the walls that had been stripped down for framing mods. Walls and ceilings for the new rooms. I always prefer to prime my drywall work once finished and paint the ceilings. Seals the finished work and makes for a better look....plus it eliminates the risk of some painter taking a short cut later and attempting to just paint over the raw drywall. As well it makes it easier to find flaws or blemishes in the drywall work. It always leaves a huge smile on my face when a contractor or home owner goes over my work looking for blemishes or problem spots and nothing is to be found. It's someone's investment, their home....they should have their expectations met and exceeded with the work you do, not expect excuses.

I don't always take alot of photos of my work if I feel like it will not make a huge impact on the difference my work or skills made. Sometimes I come in and the project is a wreck and while my work of repairing the framing and the drywall work may look great in person, I don't feel the photos would be able to convey that same look. This is one where the home owners had hired a handyman who came in, removed the flooring and destroyed the vanity, and then never came back to finish it. Cleaned it up, installed the hardiboard, ceramic tile corner to corner, new vanity and plumbed, toilet installed with new seals, and new trim. I thought it turned out looking pretty decent for a small simple job. Wasn't too keen on the ceramic color since it kind of looked like linoleum in the photos, but while I may make suggestions to a home owner, I do what they want and just make it the best version of what they want 😉

It is kind of rare to go through a place now and not receive bad service. Employees standing around and seeming bothered that you've come in and when pressed about it they give the "We're short handed and doing the best we can"......look around at all the employee's standing around and reply with "That's the anthem of poor service these days. You're not short handed, you have exactly what was placed. Maybe poor management, but not short staffed".

Started off with tracking down a water leak in the downstairs hallway ceiling which turned out to be a hvac drain line blockage that was cleared. Once finished and the ceiling repaired the home owner opted to redo the laundry room. New ceilings and new light install. The walls and ceiling of the laundry as well as the hallway were painted to match the Livingroom ceilings previously done. Crown removed from the cabinets and the old hardware removed with the old holes plugged with glued wooden dowels and painted a dark caviar color. New handles were installed for a updated look. Shelves were installed in the corners made with paint ready pine. A shelf was installed behind the washer and dryer flush with the tops for storage and to hide the ugly gap left for the water and vent lines. To finish up a new mudroom sink was installed with a wooden surround added to give a cabinetry aesthetic to avoid the ugly plastic sink and legs look.

My business is one where I do not typically have the ability to say "I can't do it" once I've agreed to a job. So I'm really blown away when someone running a "business" agrees to the job then later calls and says that they know it falls into the typical scale of work that they do...but it is beyond them. They will do some other form of work for less....but not this job, lol. Would seem like having the roof on my work truck vinyl wrapped would have been simple. ....but when they messaged and said they could squeeze the truck in a day early since they had a client not show up.....then after I drop mine off the original client showed up.

When I see a car on the road with a SC temp I avoid it since there is a high likelihood it is a unregistered and uninsured ride

I have no idea who this woman is, but I give her credit for convincing me to order cameras for the front and back of my truck. I hated the ides before, but after having this woman swerve at me this morning when her lane was ending....lay on the horn and she swerves back only to get a better swing and swerved over even faster forcing me into oncoming traffic to avoid getting hit. Lady had kids in the car, but apparently they didn't matter to her much. So, going to order cameras and from now on, for those who feel justified to road rage or play around....
