After a week of deliberations after a very hard and unproductive season, I'm making the difficult decision to shutter BGS. It's been an absolute pleasure serving you for the past three years, Kansas City, but unfortunately due to economic forces out of my control I'm having to call it quits and seek employment elsewhere. BGS Lawn Club clients: in light of my injured wrist yesterday and the fact that Mondays are simply whack, as well as the fact that for many of my customers Mondays are garbage pickup days, lawn days will be moving to Tuesday. I've been wanting to make this swap for a bit and here we are. I may also start an additional lawn day every other Wednesday to help keep up. I'm not sure yet.

Two years ago this was a dilapidated garden box under a lawn full of hard-to-mow grass and old dead boxwoods. Today, it's a thriving little butterfly garden that's never void of bees or butterflies. The zinnias and coneflower are just sprouting for the summer too, and will burst into even more color in another month or two.

Next 24 hours we're likely to have our first big thunderstorm of the season. I'm available to collect and dispose of downed brush of any size. The first heavy rain of the season is also a great time to check your basement for flooding and re-grade your yard appropriately. A lot of simple grading fixes can cost under $100 and save you years of wet basement headaches! Contact me for help!
