“Ascension” 24x48in. Acrylic on cradled birch panel. When submerged in water, the dancers’ movements are no longer tied to the floor or anchored to an apparatus. They float and compose themselves against the fluid void.

“Nereids” In Greek mythology, were sea nymphs who embodied the beauty and bounty of the ocean. They aided sailors and calmed storms, often depicted as graceful maidens riding dolphins or sea creatures, symbolizing the sea’s gentler, life-giving aspects and divine harmony. 48x48in. The inspiration and the outcome. This is my first painting of a new series embracing movement, connection, and fluidity of the human form. This project was a phenomenal collaboration with a very skilled underwater photographer and three amazing dancers and soon to be pictured
