Please be careful when purchasing security products on the internet. It's about the same cost to have your local brick and mortar security company that is trained and provides on site service.

DIY security system provider SimpliSafe has quickly amassed a large customer base. However, a forensic analysis shoots holes in the company’s model.

I just sent a proposal to a customer who is still using their security system that we installed in 1995. No upgrades, just a battery replacement every 5 years or so. The proposal was to add a cellular communicator so they could lose their wired phone line. And the 24 year old system is compatible! Now that is value!
