Veritas Architecture & Design is heading to Vegas next week for the 2026 World of Modular Convention & Tradeshow, and we are thrilled to connect with other industry leaders.

Navigating complex compliance and securing permit approvals for pre-fab buildings can feel overwhelming, especially in the most challenging areas of the country. That is where we come in. School will be starting back soon, but before it does, we'd like to continue our 2025 team introductions with someone who’s been part of the Veritas family in more ways than one—Bella Willson, who returned for her second summer internship with us in June!

Bella has been a huge help across the board. From organizing the materials library and filing documents to assisting with data entry, office supply orders, and everything in between—Bella handles it all with a great attitude. She’s the go-to helping hand for just about any task the team throws her way.

An incoming high school sophomore, Bella is a future educator with a passion for learning and leadership. She’s also a multi-sport athlete who’s no stranger to competition—she not only played, but helped coach the Veritas summer sand volleyball team this year!

We’re sad to see her head back to school soon, but we’re proud of everything she’s accomplished and can’t wait to see what this next year holds for her. Here’s hoping we get a third summer with her in 2026!

We’re continuing our 2025 team introductions with Evan Beckcom, who joined our Bentonville office this June as an Architectural Intern on the NWA team!

Evan is currently pursuing his degree in Architecture and Design at the University of Kansas and just wrapped up his junior year before stepping into his role at Veritas. Since starting, he’s been supporting a variety of design and documentation tasks, specifically with a deeper focus on our ongoing work with our multi-site projects, helping manage and process BZEs for new locations across the country.

Whether it’s preparing drawing sets, reviewing code requirements, or learning new workflows, Evan brings curiosity, consistency, and a great attitude to the team. When he’s not working through a site plan or layout, Evan enjoys scaling a climbing wall. He’s an avid rock climber who’s always up for a new challenge, both on and off the clock.

We’re excited to continue our 2025 introductions with Samuel Zimmerman, who joined our Kansas City office this May as an Architectural Designer.

Sam’s role centers around producing drawings, renderings, and concept designs while collaborating closely with the lead architect, project manager, and design team. As he continues to grow in his role, he’s also learning the ins and outs of leading projects as he works toward becoming an effective project manager.

Before joining Veritas, Sam spent 3 years at CRB and 8 months at STRATA, building experience in Revit, design documentation, and presentation development. Since graduating from KU, he’s been on the path toward licensure and continues to strengthen his technical and design skills on a daily basis.

Fun fact—Sam started using BIM software when he was just 9 years old, thinking it was a fun video game. That early start clearly paid off!

We’re excited to continue our 2025 team introductions with Matt Nelson, who joined our Kansas City office this May as an Architectural Intern!

Matt’s role focuses on design development and construction documentation—he’s been contributing to everything from client presentation materials to permit-ready drawing sets, as well as assisting with renderings and production tasks across multiple projects.

Before joining Veritas, Matt wrapped up his fourth year at Kansas State University, where he’s currently pursuing his Master of Architecture. Once he graduates, he’s excited to focus on custom residential and commercial design.

When he’s not refining a floor plan or working through a render, Matt enjoys rock climbing—always up for a challenge, whether it’s on the wall or at the desk.

We’re excited to kick off our 2025 team introductions with Alex Overbay, who joined our Kansas City office this March as a Jr. Project Leader!

Alex’s role currently involves a blend of design and leadership development— he’s actively involved in design development, construction documentation, permit coordination, consultant communication, and supporting project managers to keep things on track and on budget.

Before joining Veritas, Alex worked as an Architectural Designer at BRR Architecture, where he contributed to a wide range of projects including industrial warehouses, convenience stores, and large-scale retail spaces.

When he’s not making magic happen in Revit, you’ll likely find him walking with his fiancé and their corgi (Arthur), competing in a pickup game outdoors, or exploring his newfound hobby in woodworking—partly inspired by his love for building architectural models during school. Oh, and he can solve a Rubik’s Cube, too.
