So many special moments on our Mother/daughter trip to Carmel & Big Sur. A visit to Carmel Mission Basilica, the Carmelite Monastery, lots of coastal hikes, our favorite Lily Valley Trail in Garapata State Park, watching baby seals learn to swim at Point Lobos, amazing food, and many, many sunsets ❤️❤️

Here’s an amazing, one of a kind, reclaimed walnut coffee table from HALO Maker Michael that will be a live auction item for HALO’s Annual Art Auction tomorrow night.

This guy is so determined and very excited about his finished table. Grateful for my time with him through this process of helping him make the table and excited for his future! With the funds raised he hopes to purchase a laptop computer to explore the world of coding and computer science.

Special thanks to for generously donating the reclaimed walnut slab.

Through the HALO makers program, HALO youth are given a chance to learn valuable life skills through the entire process of making a product. Sanding and finishing these wood trays offers therapeutic benefits to HALO youth struggling with homelessness and other life issues. Funds raised support the maker’s future.

Textile art collage donated to for their recent fundraising event celebrating 11 years.

This collage celebrates the beauty of these hand painted h**p fabric remnants, giving them new life as art / Natural fir wood frame

Stitching Change has a core mission ⁣⁣
of providing sewing classes and opportunities for refugee women to earn supplementary income for their families. They primarily using reclaimed fabric, encompassing another core mission of keeping fabric out of landfill.

Beginning to think about another one-of-a-kind table for HALO’s Art auction. This reclaimed elm coffee table was from the last art auction and lovingly made by the young lady in the 2nd image. She was thrilled with the skills she learned and seeing her handmade piece of furniture complete ❤️

This lady… so beautiful and confident!! It was a gift to have time with her, guiding her in creating this handcrafted reclaimed wood coffee table that will be a “Live” auction item at the upcoming Art Auction on March 1st. She was able to be a part of the product photo shoot and looked absolutely amazing! Grateful to Rebecca and Caleb of for capturing these moments and making her feel so special!
