Ever wonder what’s actually hiding behind your siding? We opened up a wall on a recent job and found this nightmare fuel. 🫣

What looked like a minor issue turned out to be a major leak. Water had been seeping in right under the window and joists, completely rotting out the OSB sheathing. If you leave stuff like this alone, it doesn't take long before it turns into a serious structural problem.

Don’t compromise your deck’s backbone. 🛑❌
Take a look at this beam. Someone decided to notch out the bottom of a critical load-bearing deck beam just to make it fit around a trim piece.

Here is why you never do this: The bottom of a beam is under tension—cutting into it drastically reduces its load capacity and structural integrity, inviting a dangerous collapse over time. If a framing member doesn't fit, you alter the non-structural trim, never the beam itself.

We just wrapped up this custom poolside pavilion, and it’s officially the ultimate hang-out spot. By combining a clean, modern exterior with the warmth of a natural wood tongue-and-groove ceiling, we created a space that’s as functional as it is beautiful.
