Today was a little chaotic with a roof replacement in Kearney, NE and a full siding and window job happening in Edgar, NE, and a promise to a junior high girl to make it to a track meet in Doniphan, NE!

Thankfully everyone at Ridgeline is like a family and helped me be in three 3 places at once today. That’s what you get when you hire Ridgeline as your contractor. You get a whole family to make sure you’re taken care of each and every single time!

Not a huge fan of birthdays especially ones that end in zeros, but Ridgeline Exteriors LLC made sure I wouldn’t forget it today! Lunch at Jerseys Sports Bar & Grill, big ole cookie from Eileen's Cookies, and my new DJI Mini 5 Pro drone showed up today!

We get asked all the time if homeowners can save money by doing the siding tear-off themselves.

Here’s the reality…
After 4 partial Saturdays, the tear-off still isn’t finished — and we’re not even close to starting installation.

What feels like saving a few hundred dollars often turns into:
• Weeks of lost time
• Extra stress and mess

With the whole state of Nebraska’s forecast for today & tonight, I wanted to share a few things regarding storm damage and insurance claims. Please do read, it will help.

1. Time is on your side(unless you lost windows and or are having leaks) so dont rush to sign anything without talking to your trusted insurance agent.
2. If it’s not obvious damage(after a hailstorm) do your due diligence and get a trusted contractor to inspect your property before filing a claim.
3. After a severe storm with lots of damage, PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR YOUR NEIGHBORS (Elderly & Women especially) however you look at this statement, these are the most preyed upon people after a severe storm.
4. Anyone willing to help you with your deductible, is also willing to help you commit insurance fraud (insert I don’t look good in Orange joke)
5. There are different programs with different insurance carriers where they actually send a roofing company to do your inspection, if you already have a contractor you can deny this service and ask for an adjuster.
6. If you feel you’re being pressured and the situation doesnt feel right, it’s probably not right and you need to trust your gut.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, so wanted to share my favorite project to date!

We just wrapped up this farmstead project near Minden, NE, and it was a fun one.

New synthetic roof, LP siding, fascia, and 6” gutters!

A huge shoutout to our crews, and Axmann Heating & Air Conditioning - Pleasanton for helping us with the detach and reset of the AC unit mounted on the wall!
