EXTREME HEAT WATCH for parts of Oregon and Washington! An extended period of dangerous heat is likely across the Portland and Vancouver Metro, Lower Columbia River communities and much of the Willamette Valley. An Extreme Heat Watch is now in effect from Sunday through Tuesday, with afternoon temperatures potentially 100+ in spots. The prolonged nature of this heat event is especially concerning as overnight temperatures may only fall into the mid-60s with some locations potentially remaining near or above 70 degrees. This would provide little relief from the heat particularly for those without air conditioning. The hottest conditions are expected from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses. Anyone spending time outdoors should stay hydrated, limit strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day and check on vulnerable family members, neighbors and pets. Additional heat alerts are likely for other parts of the PNW🥵

On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the brave men and women in uniform who gave their lives for this country that we love.

We will always be grateful to our fallen heroes and their families, whose sacrifice reminds us of what it means to live for something greater than ourselves.
