Feeling a chill when your furnace should be keeping you warm? There could be a few reasons:

🔷If the fan is set to "ON" instead of "AUTO," it can blow air even when the heat isn’t running. 🔷Clogged filters? Those can cause your system to overheat and shut off the heating element. 🔷If your pilot light is out or there's an ignition problem, your furnace won't be able to warm things up at all.

As of January 1, 2025, significant changes have arrived to HVAC systems as the industry shifts to greener refrigerants. Here’s what homeowners need to know:

🔹 New Refrigerants Only - Systems will be sold with eco-friendly options like R-454B and R-32, replacing R-410A to lower global warming potential.

🔹 Higher Costs for New Systems - Expect up to 30% price increases due to updated designs. Currently, a new HVAC ranges from $5k to $15k.

🔹 Maintenance Is Key - Older systems will still work, but regular maintenance will help them last longer and avoid costly replacements.

🔹 Parts Availability Will Decline - As R-410A systems phase out, parts may become harder and pricier to source.
