This is the fourth and last in the series.
How many bathrooms are in the home?
Who will use the bathroom(s) being renovated? (Include age, height, physical limitations, mobility aids)
Will more than one person be using the bathroom at the same time?
Will this bathroom be used by visitors? If so, how often?
Do you prefer separate showering and bathing areas?
Are there any desired features, such as in-floor heat, skylight, fireplace, morning bar or phone?
Are there accessibility features required for independence?

I hope all of these questions will be of help to you. There is so much to think about whether you are remodeling or buying a new home, it can be over whelming. I thought maybe this would help you out.

What type of specialized storage is desired?
What small specialty electrical appliances do you use in your kitchen?

This week I am going to give you a series of questions to answer which will hopefully help you in making some decisions about remodeling your home.
Why do you want to remodel?
Why did you decide to move forward with this project now?
What are you looking to accomplish with this project?
What about your home currently functions well?
What about your home does not function well?
Is there a particular area of your home that is a priority?
How long do you plan to stay in your home?
I know this doesn't look like the same house, but look at the sun dial type decoration on the wall. It's the same one. I just got a better look and it isn't the same dial. The one with the new deck is a new one! Sorry.

I walk thru my house and see so many things I don't like anymore. Should I talk to my husband about selling the place and buying a new house? No, its too expensive in this market. Maybe we could just change some things and that would make me feel better. We could have the kitchen cabinets refinished and maybe the bathroom cabinets too. And we could paint the walls and put in new flooring in both rooms too! Oh! New counter tops would be great also. Now I'm feeling much better. We are moving into a multi generational living environment. Whatever the reason, wanting children to know their grandparents or so adult children can care for their aging senior parents or so adult children can stay local in expensive housing markets. It is usually less expensive to remodel and add a room or rooms than to buy a new home. As I stand at my living room window looking out over the vast expanse of white I can see the black "sticks" of my rose bushes poking thru the snow. That scene makes me think I would really like spring to come very quickly. Spring makes me think of BBQ's on the deck. Uh Oh, that makes me think of the repairs I need done to that deck. Well, I guess I'll have to have one of the guys come out and give me an estimate on those repairs. And maybe a cover for the deck. Well, if you need any repairs to your deck call the office and set up an appointment for an estimate - at no cost to you, of course!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at the home show!!! It was a lot of fun and amazingly a lot of people considering the weather. We appreciate everyone who suffered through the weather to attend. We were happy to talk to so many nice folks and hope we were able to give you some help or advice on what you needed.
