Radar Woodworking I am a novice woodworker. As I my skills progress and improve, I might take on custom orders for close friends and family.

I am a novice woodworker who hopes to gain skill and knowledge through projects. I am not yet skilled enough to take orders for paying customers. Once I feel I have reached that level, I will make an announcement. My career and family life limit my available shop time.

3 boxes completed today. The top is before the finish was applied. The bottom is after the finish was applied. The finish is Minwax Tung Oil Finish. The large box is all cherry with a plywood bottom. The middle box is cherry and black walnut with a plywood bottom. The small box is white oak and cherry with a plywood bottom. Now, I just have to figure out what to do with them...

After learning to use the Incra I-Box jig with the foot rest/box, I decided to try another box. I have pieces of walnut and oak that we're given to me from a family tree farm. I sliced thin board from each and milled them to usable pieces. I used the I-box jig on the table saw to make the sides of the box. Once glued up, I used a little tung oil finish.

Made a foot rest/box for my daughter to use when practicing her guitar. The box was made out of Russian plywood.

The progression of my last project. This will be going up for silent auction during the Kenosha area Spotlight production of Oliver this weekend at Wilmot High School. Check it out! The beverage holder is made of maple and mahogany for the sides, a piece of oak dowel for the handle, and a piece of plywood for the bottom.
