I am Daron Dean, the owner of American Asphalt of West Virginia, Blacktop Industries, and Freedom asphalt. I am hiring for three separate positions, which will include work at all 3 of my asphalt plants located in St. Albans, WV, Kenova, WV, and Owingsville KY. All positions would include year round work consisting of 40-60 hours per week, 401k, copay insurance plan, 2 weeks paid vacation at the end of the year, and eligibility for a performance bonus at the end of the year. Details for each position will be below.
Experienced Asphalt Plant Groundman.
Job Responsibilities/ Requirements
* Grease bearings and perform routine lubrication of plant equipment.
* Inspect, maintain, and service gearboxes.
* Clean and maintain conveyor belts to ensure efficient operation.
* Perform general plant housekeeping, including shoveling around equipment and work areas.
* Operate a skid steer safely and efficiently.
* Assist with routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
Hourly pay rate can range from $15-$20 depending on experience
Experienced Asphalt Batch Plant Service Technician / Mechanic
Job Responsibilities/ Requirements
* Perform preventative maintenance on asphalt batch plant equipment.
* Welding and fabricating
* Diagnose and repair mechanical issues throughout the plant.
* Replace bearings, rollers, conveyors, motors, and other plant components.
* Inspect equipment and identify maintenance needs before failures occur.
* Assist with plant shutdowns, repairs, and start-up procedures.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Hourly pay rate can range from $18-$28 depending on experience
Experienced Asphalt Batch Plant Operator
Experience operating a batch plant is preferred; however, we are willing to train an experienced drum mix plant operator to transition into batch plant operations.
Job Responsibilities/Requirements
* Operate and monitor an asphalt batch plant to produce high-quality asphalt mixes.
* Ensure proper mix designs and production specifications are met.
* Monitor plant performance and make adjustments as needed.
* Coordinate with plant personnel, truck drivers, and management to maintain efficient production.
* Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs.
* Maintain accurate production records and inventory.
Yearly pay rate can range from $50k-$125k based on experience.
