A countertop guy could tell me literally anything and I’d believe him.

He could walk in, run one finger across my island, shake his head, and go: "Yeah. Your stone lost its gravity."

Crap. How much?

“$14,000.”

Can you put the gravity back in it?

“I mean, I can.”

Okay.

“But if I recharge the density without leveling out the tectonic shift under your cabinets, it’s just gonna float right off the plywood again.”

Well what shifted the tectonics?

“That’s what I’m trying to figure out.”

Crap.

And now I’m deeply concerned too.

I didn’t even know quartz could lose its gravitational pull five minutes ago, and now me and this guy are standing in my kitchen staring at an island like it’s about to drift into the ceiling.

“Has it been feeling lighter lately?”

I don’t know.

I didn’t know I was supposed to be weighing my kitchen counters.

“Has it been acting weird?”

I DON’T KNOW.

I put a coffee mug on it and the mug stayed there.

That was my entire structural inspection process.

It was flat. It was hard. It held my toaster. I thought we had a solid relationship. But apparently I’ve been making sandwiches on zero-gravity granite for God knows how long.

And the crazy part is I’d never question him. I’d just be standing there with my hands in my pockets hoping my backsplash doesn't lift off next.

We wrapped up another remodel with Celebration Cinema Rivertown 🍿🎬 and added a small detail we’ve been wanting to try… under-counter lighting built right into the tops 💡

Nothing overcomplicated, just something that looks really clean when it’s done right.

More than anything, we don’t take for granted the relationship we’ve built over there. Getting trusted to keep showing up on these projects means everything 🙌
