President & Partner in Piedmont Paving Concrete, LLC

David McGee has lived in Kernersville all his life, and is the father of two boys and two girls. He began asphalt patching maintenance work and residential driveways in 1991. Within a few short years he formed Piedmont Paving Inc. and quickly started commercial asphalt paving as well. In 2002 David hired full-time estimator Mark Rountree. The company expanded to form Piedmont Paving Concrete LLC for concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk, with commercial and maintenance jobs ranging from $50,000 to $500,000. Piedmont Paving began working with local municipalities, becoming an NCDOT-approved asphalt paving contractor. In 2007 David built the new facility in Kernersville, because it has better access to the Triad area and the Interstate. Piedmont Paving continues to grow, and will long into the future. Senior Project Manager & Partner in Piedmont Paving Concrete, LLC

Mark Rountree is a graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Construction Management. He worked for over a decade as a project manager and estimator for Rea Construction. In 2002, he started work with Piedmont Paving Inc. Just two years later he and David McGee formed Piedmont Paving Concrete LLC. Mark manages the day-to-day operations for Piedmont Paving Concrete LLC, and serves as the estimator for all projects, as well as Project Manager for Piedmont paving Inc. He has two daughters and lives in Greensboro. Matthew Weiss
Project Manager

Matthew Weiss is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He spent four years with the North Carolina Department of Transportation as Assistant District Engineer, reviewing plans, project estimating and permitting. Following this, he worked for eight years with a private engineering firm, doing civil site design. In May of 2013 he became a Project Manager and estimator for Piedmont Paving Inc. and Piedmont Paving Concrete LLC. Matthew has two boys and two girls, and lives in Southern Rowan County.
