Moody clouds, bright flowers! I wasn’t sure what I would find after last night’s storms, but most made it unscathed.

👀 the weird sunflowers I tried this year. Good news is the bugs think they’re weird too; they seem to leave them alone.

I’ve waited four months for this color.

Starting flowers from seed is an exercise in trust and patience, and a labor of love. I like to think of how various colors, shapes and textures will fit together in a future bouquet. If I want control over those aspects, carefully and intentionally selecting seeds and starting them myself is a must.

I don’t have as many blooms this year as in years past. This was both a conscious decision and mixed results from seed starting. I’m not sure yet if we will be parking the truck as we have, or if we will take the blooms we have and spread joy in sharing them. After all, that has always been the point.

I call this one “The Finale”. A bit chaotic with colors, but a great show of some of the season’s best.

Thanks so much to all who stopped by the truck this season. Our family has so much fun doing this, and I hope it brings you joy as well.

Now on to garden cleanup and planting tulips for 2025!

Here’s the big announcement for today:

We have lisianthus bunches on the truck!

Why is this a big deal?

🌸 Lisianthus can be hard to find (especially in bunches) and $$$
🌸 They last crazy long in the vase. Seriously - you will be enjoying these for quite some time.
🌸 These take time to grow from seed - like 12-13 weeks inside. I didn’t start these from seed (these are the only plugs I bought), but still, it needs to be noted.

Due to the high value of these flowers, bouquets are $20 today (still a steal for these).

I also wrapped the bouquets rather than put them in jars to keep the stems long so you can arrange them however you like.

We will be replenishing throughout the day until sold out, so as not to waste these beauties.

HUGE bouquets on the truck parked today! Dahlias are blooming beautifully, and boy are these packed full of our rose-like lisianthus. Selling these for $15 is a bit nutty, but these need to be shared 🤪

Dealing with another breezy day, so we will be restocking as needed.

The flower truck is parked on this windy Saturday. Come and see the many new flowers that have bloomed this week – dahlias, sunflowers, and lisianthus, oh my! 😊 The sunflowers will open during the week, and give a nice long vase life.

We are trying to protect them from the wind, but earlier pickup is better to save these beauties! It was either today’s wind or tomorrow’s heat 🤷‍♀️ If you drive by and it looks empty, there are probably some against the side of the truck bed.
