Wow. What a night!

We helped kick off by hosting The Seaweed Soirée at the Seattle Climate Innovation Hub.

We’re big ol’ fans of seaweed, and even bigger fans of the folks building the seaweed economy right here in the PNW. The event brought together product innovators, farmers, researchers, policy makers, investors, and ocean advocates to explore what’s really needed to grow our local, budding industry.

The evening was brimming with curiosity, challenging conversations, and connections anchored in the promise of seaweed and each other.

Internet, meet taylor o’leary, our amazingly talented summer intern!

Part of our UW CoMotion Climate Tech Incubator program includes the wonderful opportunity to partner with UW MBA students exploring potential career paths.

Taylor’s brought passion, positivity, humor, and serious supply chain smarts to our little team — we feel so lucky to have her.

In her words:

“I’m an MBA candidate at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, where I’m studying the intersection of sustainability, business strategy, and environmental innovation. Prior to business school, I spent nearly a decade in the environmental nonprofit sector, leading fundraising and partnership initiatives that supported outdoor access, conservation, and community engagement. This summer, I’m excited to contribute to the Ocean Made team, supporting seaweed sourcing and supply chain strategy. Outside of work, I enjoy trail running, gardening, and adventuring in the Pacific Northwest with my dog, Hemi.”
