Folks I am not going to be able to open tomorrow. I thought I could push myself through this dam pain and now swelling of my hand and I just can’t. I go in Monday to see surgeon again and to see what to do. They did an mri and it showed edema in my hand and in a couple bones in my hand. Well now the edema is getting worse. My fingers feel like little sausages that have been put in the microwave on high. At first I thought it was the heat causing it, but now I feel this is something bigger and I am not leaving his office Monday until I get answers and a treatment plan. Again I am sorry I really did want to open, but I feel like crap and I know I can not push through this any longer. I have dealt with this hand for almost a year and I want this hand fixed! I am tired of my knuckle being in the middle of my hand. I can’t grip anything and I am tired of dealing with pain. Surgeon said I will have pain every day like this the rest of my life. Well I say BS, either he fixes it or I will find someone who can.

I am going to try my best to get things done today so I can have the Mercantile open on Friday. I know we need the rain, but I need to get things unloaded today and back into the store from the flea market I attended.

I am sorry the store has been closed for so long, but with the construction that had Main Street a mess, it just wasn’t work me opening the doors, for a few bucks. Hopefully now that Main Street is opened back up people will start coming back into town on Fridays.

I am going to just keep Friday as my main day of being open for awhile. I will be open on Saturday late afternoons till close and for a few hours on Sunday, till we get everything at home back to normal. This heat wave has made it about impossible to get anything done. We still have a lot of yard work to do and the landlord still has to have roofs, siding and interior work done on our place. I will post later today, if I will be open on Friday or not. All depends on how much rain we get.

What a week. I can not even explain to you how tired I am. I am about back home with the trailer. I have to unload it and return it to the gentleman I rented it from, I will post more about him and his company in a later post. Then I have to blast back to white cloud to hook up my camper and get her home. All in all, it was a miserable weekend. The heat was the worst I have ever seen. Once I got every set up, long story, another post later), I knocked the socks off customers like I always do in the store. I definitely put kingman on the map! Money wise I did pretty good. For not getting to sell anything really till Saturday and most of Sunday it was profitable. If I had been able to sell Thursday and Friday, I would have a lot happier. After expenses and purchasing a few items, I made $5180.00. I have a lot to do this week, so just watch my page for when I will be open. At least the constructive is done on Main Street and businesses on Main Street can get back to normal again.
I will miss all the friends I made over the last few days. You all are wonderful people! I hope to get to see you again sometime !

I am greatfull for everyone who braved, the heat today, at the white cloud flea market. I had so many people say, they just loved my set up and that I had some really neat stuff. I hope you all return today, because I have put out around 10 more totes of stuff. I will open around 8 am.

Let my adventure begin. I have an enclosed trailer and pickup loaded with goodies and am headed to White Cloud. Soon as I unload, I am coming back home to get my camper and finish filling it with my glassware items. I hope I can sell a lot of items and then buy some new stuff while I am there to put in the store. Should be a great weekend. If you are looking for a certain item just comment below or message me and I will see what I can find. I am hoping to find some fairy lamps, because several of you are looking for them.

The mercantile will be closed till September 11 th. I am going to White Cloud ks flea market and setting up a large booth. I have always wanted to go there to set up a booth. Thousands of people attend and there are hundreds of booths! If you are looking for a fun filled holiday weekend, there are 3 towns having huge flea markets, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. White Cloud, Sparks and Troy. All within just minutes of each other. Sept 3rd-6th. They all have a FB page so look them up. If anyone from kingman attends and comes to my booth, I will give you some sweet deals! I have gotten some awesome new items I will be taking. I am slowly feeling better and glad I can set my booth right next to my camper I am taking.
