Hopefully everyone's year is off to a great start! Here is a little tip that may save you some major inconvenience. We all know that garage doors are often the most used door in the house, in fact, nowadays they are replacing the front door, which takes me to the reason for this post.
The other day one of our customers came home late at night only to learn that their garage door spring had broken while they were away. They use their garage door so much, they had forgotten to keep a spare key handy...yikes! Unfortunately, they found themselves completely locked out of their home. It's always a good idea to have a way to manually open your front door, you just never know! For this reason, don't forget to put a key on your keychain, leave a spare key with a trusted neighbor or find a well hidden spot. In fact, we realized this was an issue that we needed to address as well and I will soon be off to the store having some extra keys made....just in case!
Of course, should you find yourself with an unexpected broken spring, be sure to call a name you can trust!

Hopefully everyone is doing well, the year is just flying by! Due to some recent emergency repairs, we thought it a good idea to share a very important tip that can help you avoid unexpected and costly accidents.
As a rule of thumb, make it a part of your routine to open your garage door with the wall button only. This allows the garage door open while you are getting into your car, buckling your seat belt and preparing to leave. This brief few minutes, can save you from clipping the bottom of your garage door as you back out and sparing damage to both your garage door as well as your vehicle.
Of course, should you need garage door or garage door opener assistance of any kind, always call the name you can trust!

Look at that before and after photo, now that's workmanship! Brin didn't insist on replacing her doors, instead he put his 30 years of experience to work and was actually able to quite flawlessly restore this garage door to its original condition, not only does it look fantastic, it is also perfectly functional. During power outages, of which we have had many this week, it can become necessary to disengage your garage door opener from your door so that you can open and close your door manually. These photos of Hamilton and Charlotte say it all. We too are trying to get back to 'normal', our electricity was out for almost 24 hours and our phones were very hit and miss, now we wait for the water to come back on. The snow seems to have gone from soft powder to solid ice, nevertheless, our phones seem to be back in service (finally)....and we are very grateful that the worst is (hopefully) behind us. In the midst of the challenges, I must say that the beauty of the snow has been a delight, 'This is my Father's world, I rest me in the thought!'

For the last 6 weeks Brin and Jonathan have enjoyed having grandpa Boyd at their side, handing them tools, watching them interact with customers, riding from job to job, and lots of great conversation over hot breakfast at a favorite restaurant. This visit has been such a blessing and he will be greatly missed.
2020 was a challenging year, we take nothing for granted and are always grateful for God's faithfulness and constant provision.
