Last week, Reeves County ESDs 1 & 2 celebrated the grand opening of Station 3 in Balmorhea. The 16,570 SF station brings faster response times and dedicated infrastructure to one of West Texas's most rural stretches. Our team is proud to have delivered this for the community alongside Cerris Builders, DBR , Maverick Engineering, Structural Engineers, and Combs Consulting Group.

Fire Station 125 for Fire Department in Kingwood, is a station designed with the neighborhood in mind, dormers were added to the roofline to break up the building's commercial scale while tying it back to the surrounding residential character. The facility includes standard bay components with sectional roll-up doors and a large mezzanine training area complete with a false window to the apparatus bay, giving crews a dedicated space to practice ladder throws and forced-entry techniques. Martinez Architects is grateful to have contributed to the operational readiness and long-term safety of this Kingwood community.

Officially opening this Friday on May 15th, 2026, Travis County Emergency Services District 12's District HQ and Fire Station 1204 in Manor unites administrative offices and front-line operations under one barn-inspired roof — with deep covered patios, paired gable rooflines, and four deep apparatus bays with bi-fold doors for rapid deployment. Designed for up to 14 firefighters per shift and equipped with a technology-forward training room, the facility brings modern readiness to the Manor community.

Being officially open since February of this year, Arlington Fire Station 8 replaces an undersized and aging back-in station with a new 2-story facility that provides modern fire station amenities, drive-through apparatus bays, and enhancements to overall fire fighter health and wellness. The facility provides an open-concept common living area with 2nd floor outdoor patio, 12 dorms, four-fold bay doors, a source-capture exhaust removal system, fitness room, and storm shelter. Martinez Architects served as the Design Architect, in collaboration with Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. , the Architect of Record.
