Emerald Isle | A Study in Green
How do you transform a bathroom that has always belonged to the children into a space the parents can enjoy just as much, without losing its playful spirit?
For us, the answer began with color.
Our client loved green, not simply as an accent, but as an immersive experience. So we embraced it wholeheartedly. Walls, ceiling, vanity, and door are enveloped in rich green microcement, creating a seamless, sculptural environment that feels almost like stepping into a forest.
Natural light filters through the skylight, revealing the subtle depth and movement of the microcement throughout the day. As evening falls, concealed cove lighting brings a softer warmth to the space. Sculptural pendants hover above the curved vanity, while aged brass adds a quiet richness.
And then there’s the shower wall. Round glass tiles arranged in a playful polka dot pattern bring an unexpected moment of delight, a little whimsy that feels equally at home in a children’s bathroom and a sophisticated retreat.
A space where playfulness and refinement coexist, and where growing up doesn’t have to mean leaving the joy behind.
Emerald Isle. A room that didn’t have to choose. ✦
