Flower farming has caused me to think about a lot more than just flowers - Especially when you come to understand how much work goes into the garden before you even see the dirt, let alone a single bloom. And what I’ve come to realize is that I’m guilty of cutting myself short in so many areas in life - giving up before I could even see the hard work pay off. Second-guessing the seeds before yielding any flowers.

This year, I’m choosing to hold steady, letting growth take its time.

So, what would you grow if you trusted the process?

This summer was tough. We were late getting things into the beds. Then the early spring highs followed by freezing temperatures really did a number on our dahlias. We didn’t even see blooms until almost September 😫 But they came. And they were absolutely gorgeous.

Last night was the first official frost of the season. My hot, hot husband ❤️ trekked out in the dark and cut one final spread. How lucky am I to have this on my kitchen table??

I am beyond grateful to call this little flower farm “ours” and am thankful for another year of sharing it with our community.
