The lisianthus are putting out their first center blooms. I trim those off so the plant channels its energy to the other blooms and they will open together. Do this gives you more pretty blooms per stem. It might be hard to chop off their heads and be patient but it’s so worth it!!

Following at 10am is our hands-on planting workshop. Be ready to get dirty! If you haven’t been before this meeting is a great way to learn how to plant by pairing up with experienced growers. There are always surprises and goodies to take home.

The much needed rain is bringing out the blooms but my word is it gross out between the showers. An hour of cutting flowers and I’m soaked from what I can only describe as wearing a coat made from the water gods themselves. Yuck!
