Huge thanks to Mitchell County Schools for allowing us to share this video of their new athletic facility in Bakersville, North Carolina. We had a blast working with them to complete this premier training and competition environment at Mitchell County High School complete with a competition-sized basketball court, retractable bleacher seating, dedicated wrestling room, state-of-the-art weight training zone, expansive indoor practice facility with professional-grade field turf for year-round training and modern locker rooms. These student athletes are training at the CHAMPIONSHIP level.

Mitchell County Schools is committed to EXCELLENCE! Great job, Jim Hinton, for leading this effort for Cope Architecture!

At Cope Architecture, we believe in the importance of quality. We are committed to provide our clients with a meaningful design, a technically skilled team and professional client service. Our work is characterized by six design philosophies.

5. RESTRAINT - We are disciplined to balance design, function, budget, and time.

Thoughtful design has the power to shape spaces with clarity and purpose. It means balancing creativity with function, vision with budget, and ambition with time. When every line, material, and detail has intention behind it, a space becomes more than functional—it becomes grounded and honest. By focusing on what truly matters, the architecture speaks for itself. Minimal moves, maximum impact.

Gratitude is at the core of every space we create. This holiday season we're especially grateful for our clients and community who make our work possible.

We kicked off the celebration with our annual Thanksgiving meal - good food, great company, and plenty of pie.

Happy Thanksgiving from the team at Cope! 🦃

Proud to lead the design on the latest upgrades at Neyland Stadium. This project exemplifies targeted, high-impact improvements made possible through strong donor engagement and seamless team collaboration.

Shout-out to our partners at The S/L/A/M Collaborative, McCarty Holsaple McCarty Architects and Interior Designers and The Christman Company for a great team effort.

Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium Founders Suites are each unique, whether intentionally or not, owing to the quirks of the century-old stadium and the individual desires of the suite buyers.

Employee Spotlight: Luke

Meet Luke, our newest Architectural Designer here at Cope!

Moving here from Dallas, Luke was drawn to Knoxville for its natural beauty, welcoming community, and its overall character. He is looking forward to making the city a place for personal and professional growth.

When he's not designing, you can find him hiking, playing guitar, or experimenting with 3D printing. His go-to pick-me-up is an iced quad-shot latte with agave and trail mix.

Fun fact: He once took a spontaneous road trip to an abandoned dinosaur themed amusement park in Arkansas.

We're so excited to have Luke on the team - Join us in giving him a warm Knoxville welcome!
