There are moments when a project becomes more than drawings, meetings, and construction updates.
Matt and I visited Operation Hero's Hill expecting to see the first tiny home being set in place. Instead, we arrived to find home after home already in place, with another being rolled into its final spot.
The excitement was real.
In just one week, all 20 tiny homes arrived on site, transforming what had been foundations, dirt, and plans into something that finally feels like a neighborhood.
What makes this project even more special is knowing where these homes came from. Many were built by local students who learned valuable skills while creating something that will have a lasting impact on the lives of veterans.
There are truly no words to express the emotions of seeing these homes in place today. Tiny homes with a huge purpose. Tiny homes that represent hope, dignity, and a community coming together to serve others.
A special thank you to Christman Southeast Constructors and the many partners, contractors, educators, and volunteers helping bring this vision to life. Seeing the coordination, care, and commitment behind this project makes the result even more meaningful.
It was a great day.
