There are moments when a project becomes more than drawings, meetings, and construction updates.

Matt and I visited Operation Hero's Hill expecting to see the first tiny home being set in place. Instead, we arrived to find home after home already in place, with another being rolled into its final spot.

The excitement was real.

In just one week, all 20 tiny homes arrived on site, transforming what had been foundations, dirt, and plans into something that finally feels like a neighborhood.

What makes this project even more special is knowing where these homes came from. Many were built by local students who learned valuable skills while creating something that will have a lasting impact on the lives of veterans.

There are truly no words to express the emotions of seeing these homes in place today. Tiny homes with a huge purpose. Tiny homes that represent hope, dignity, and a community coming together to serve others.

A special thank you to Christman Southeast Constructors and the many partners, contractors, educators, and volunteers helping bring this vision to life. Seeing the coordination, care, and commitment behind this project makes the result even more meaningful.

It was a great day.

A community showed up, and a story was told.

Every time we hear the story of The One-Five Grocery, we learn something new. Today's luncheon put a spotlight on a reality many people in Knoxville face every day.

On each table was a collection of food items purchased within the 37915 zip code. The lesson was eye-opening. Community members were paying nearly double the cost for many of the same items available at a grocery store just a few miles away. Even more concerning, many of those products offered little nutritional value, and some were already past their expiration dates.

This is about more than groceries. It is about access, dignity, health, and opportunity.

Today, a community showed up to support a vision where fresh fruits, vegetables, and everyday household essentials are available close to home. A vision where families have better options and neighbors have greater access to the resources they need to thrive.

Thank you, Knoxville, for showing up. We are honored to support projects that create lasting impact and strengthen our community.

Beacon Park Townhomes is a project we are excited to see taking shape in West Knoxville along Middlebrook Pike in the Cedar Bluff area.

These beautiful new townhomes are designed to offer both comfort and convenience, with two- and three-bedroom floor plan options and thoughtful layouts that fit a variety of needs. With one-story living that includes everything you need on one level and an attached two-car garage, this project is all about creating practical spaces that still feel like home.

We are also proud of the work Katie Goethert has poured into helping make this project a reality. Her heavy involvement has been an important part of moving Beacon Park Townhomes from vision to progress, and it is always special to see that kind of dedication reflected in a project taking shape.

We are glad to be part of bringing this project to life and look forward to sharing more as it continues to progress.

Cara does not get to have all the fun.

Last week, Sherry was our VIP representative for an amazing behind-the-scenes tour with Blount Partnership. It was a beautiful day for poking around McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, and even more fun knowing she may have caught a glimpse of the TAC Air Hangar we worked on years ago.

It is always special to see places like this up close and be reminded of the projects and relationships that stay with you over time.

It has been such an honor to know and work with Stephanie.

Creating spaces for people means thinking carefully about how those spaces serve everyone, and Stephanie has helped bring that into clearer focus through her knowledge, passion, and heart for accessibility. We are grateful for the way she shares what she knows and helps make all of us better along the way.

Thank you, Stephanie, for all you do.

National Hamburger Day is the perfect excuse to spotlight one of the newest spots in the Belltown community in Powell, Tennessee.

We are excited to see Abridged Burger Company open and serving the community in a space we were glad to help bring to life. It is always rewarding to watch a project become a place where people can gather, connect, and enjoy the finished result.

Stop by on Thursday, May 28 for a burger, a beer, and a look at the new spot.

"Earlier this month, I got to be part of a community service project that was both meaningful and hands-on.

On Friday morning, we helped build a new ramp for a woman who had been homebound in her electric wheelchair after a recent stroke. Getting to see her use it for the first time and experience that new freedom was something I will not forget.

Thank you to KLF and AGC for helping make it happen free of charge and in just three hours. It feels pretty darn good to come together and serve in a way that makes such an immediate difference."

Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is a time to remember their sacrifice, reflect with gratitude, and hold close the freedoms that came at such a great cost. We are thankful for those who gave everything and for the families who carry their memory forward.

From all of us at oysk3, we remember and honor them today.

If you have never taken advantage of the gems our city has to offer, you are missing out.

Earlier this month, I spent part of my day at Mighty Musical Mondays at the Tennessee Theatre () , and it was such a good reminder of how special Knoxville really is. Moments like that make you appreciate the creativity, energy, and sense of community our city has to offer.

We also got to peek inside the 612 Building, which is now officially open. Beautifully designed spaces on every floor and such an exciting addition to downtown.
