This is the tops from about 1300 of the 1500.

We left the tops on some to see what the size difference in the bulbs is at the end of the season.

We haven’t mentioned anything on here about the food forest in a long time but….

We currently have:
Caroline Red Raspberry
Fall Gold Raspberry
Blue Crop Blueberries
2 types of Elderberry
Currants
Gooseberries
Blackberries
4 types of grapes
Lavender
Apple mint
Orange mint
Rhubarb
11 apple trees

We also have an abundance of sassafras trees and numerous wild edibles.

Let us know if you would like red raspberry starts! Just bring a five gallon bucket over and maybe some peat to keep the roots covered until you can transplant them.

We try to make all of the sugar that we use throughout the year. For us that will be one 3 gallon bucket filled. This will be the first gallon into the bucket.

We take it to 260 F and then pull it from the heat and mix it nonstop until it is granulated.

Way better than that white crap from the store!
