We replace pool lights on the regular, usually doing several a week. Usually they’re pretty simple and take about an hour. But then you run into one like this…builder took some major shortcuts and is lucky that no one was electrocuted in this pool. Conduit run from the pool/spa to the equipment was just over 100’ (the length of the light cords) so they spliced the wiring inside the conduit. This is a HUGE electrical safety and code violation. Also caused the light cords to get stuck inside the conduit. We dug out and repaired the conduit and installed new junction boxes. Pool lights are now safe and up to code. Not all professionals are equal and you really do get what you pay for.

Found the coolest addition to the work truck. This toolbox has modular storage and a built in ladder! No more climbing on the tire or in the bed to get tools. And the backpack tool bag is killer, all my tools in one pack means less trips back and forth on the job site. Decked products are my new favorite.
