Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan, has been undergoing large scale renovations. The general contractor removed the carpeting at one of the entrances, and found original marble underneath. The floor was in such bad shape that the general contractor doubted restoration was possible.

Master Craft Floors was hired to see if they could bring back the marble’s original beauty. A two person team began by removing the adhesive residue, then used NeverStrip Diamond Encrusted Pads to revive the luster. The team then applied two coats of NeverStrip Stone, Terrazzo & Concrete Seal (STC) to beautify the marble and protect the results.

A total of 20 man hours was all that was required to complete the job. The general contractor was thrilled, and couldn’t believe what they saw. They thought achieving such a look was impossible, given the rough condition of the original marble.

Transforming Tired Rubber: NBS Commercial Interiors delivers a Case Study in Floor Renewal.

An Automotive supplier in Farmington Hills, Michigan, had rubber flooring in several stairwells that gave them problems. The floors had become white and chalky. It looked like water was being tracked in from the door, leaving a residue of salt and grime.

A grocery store in Binghamton NY had a new concrete floor that needed to be cleaned and sealed. It was covered with paint and drywall mud and had a dull appearance.

RD Weis Companies was contacted to help. They cleaned the floors with NeverStrip’s Deep Clean and 180 grit Strato-Grit block on a 175rpm swing machine. They followed up with two coats of NeverStrip Stone, Terrazzo and Concrete Seal with no burnishing.

The grocery store was very happy with the results. The floors were clean, but also had a great shine.

When a facility goes six years between service calls, you would definitely expect an aggressive, time-consuming process to get the floors back to their "original glory."

When Floorsmith in Kansas, who did the original application of NeverStrip - Stone, Terrazzo, and Concrete Seal on this school's terrazzo, returned six years later for a service call, the process was miles apart from conventional floor finish/terrazzo sealers.
