I'm making itty bitty cutie patooties, because they're irresistible and fun. There will be butt frogs, dinosaurs, baby kitties and some tiny Christmas ornaments.

If anyone asks, they're houseplant pot charms. Really, though, I am feeling sentimental for the little plastic creature prizes that came in Nabisco cereal in the 1960's. When I went away to Summer camp, my little brother tucked his tiny blue pterodactyl into my suitcase, to keep me company if I got homesick.

What a sweet, wise little soul he was. And today we have mini flexis. :) If we were neighbors today, I'd say "later alligator," and give him a little green flexi to live in his posies until we meet again.

Say hello to an old friend. Hoya fungii is my ultimate flashback bloom. It takes me back to early grade school, when the cool kids were wearing fake fur coats in pastel colors, with white gogo boots. The boots were a bridge too far for my conservative parents, but they dug down deep for the coat. I felt so special.

I was born in 1959, which means this was too late for bakelite buttons, but they totally could have been the half-sphere kind with rhinestones.
