Blower door and duct testing are essential parts in the completion of your new home! Florida state code 402.4.1.2. requires all new homes built must have a Blower Door completed in order too make sure it is up to current energy code and too obtain your home’s Certificate of Occupancy. Blower Doors can also be done on already built dwellings too ensure your home is air tight and is within current energy codes.
Blower Door Test can point out certain issues that could cause your electric bill too increase and your HVAC system to work harder than it should. This test is a guaranteed way to ensure your home or building is air tight with no outside leakage.
Duct testing is done by testing your hvac system and duct work to ensure it is tight and sealed so no cool air is lost. This test is a way of ensuring you get the most out of your AC unit and keeping it efficient as possible. Duct Testing is not a required test within state code but can be a requirement within certain county’s. It can also be done too check air leakages in already built homes.
