Just wanting to raise awareness to the mold that we found growing in the window unit of the rent house we've been in for about 3 weeks.
Since we moved in immediately the same day allergies and breathing problems began to arise. As days went by it worsen to the point where visits to the ER were made to get checked for covid. I checked the attic knowing something wasn't right. I started checking ac filters air purifier filters as I had recently changed them. In doing this 2nd check I found the ac looked dirty suspecting dust being the culprit I grabbed the flashlight looked into the vent and there it was mold. Immediately removed the 2 window units sanitized the area and in a matter of 4 or 5 hrs allergies were better and symptoms were gone. So just saying make sure to check these area if your feeling behind on your overall functionality it maybe you have mold are dirty air filters even the outside unit may be molded up. Let's face it it happens. Be safe
