Stone and Cottonwood prepares stored atmospheric greenhouse gasses for sequestration in homes and offices of the Front Range of Colorado. The greenhouse gasses were captured by trees, and turned into wood. At the end of their lives, the trees were turned into lumber, beautiful furnishings, and decor for Boulder and the Front Range.

Hi everybody! Did you miss me? We are pleased to announce that we now have a retail display at 418 E Simpson St in Lafayette, Colorado. We will have Jeff Hood offering his cool pens and gorgeous wooden bowls. Brian Schwarz is crafting his awsome cutting boards, and Kevin Kisich is making another run of his signature coffee cups and beer mugs. The retail display is inside Bee’s Thai Kitchen restaurant (Kevin is Chef Bee’s husband), so grab a snack and browse :-)

Well all, I have been quite busy building and launching Bee’s Thai Kitchen (food truck/restaurant, www.facebook.com/beesthaikitchen) with my wife, Chef Bee. As my wood shop was in space which got totally used for building the truck and service area, there has been no woodwork for a couple years. However, today I have my shop almost completely restored, and it is a snow day. I am gonna make a bowl.

Today I was invited to build an outdoor dining table top 8’ long and 30” wide. Had to be durable, beautiful, and stand up to the weather for a few years. Customer did not want to pay more than $200 for such a custom piece.

I’m not complaining about the cost of lumber now, but a 2 x 4 from Home Depot now costs $9. They are 1 1/2” thick, so it would take 20 8’ 2 x 4 to make up a 30” wide table top. 20 x $9 = $180. Gee. That would give me a whole $20 for my labor. 🙂. Ain’t inflation GRAND?! ?!
