Rubber Duck Day!
This is the day we plug the newly installed drain fl**ge and hold water in the pan for 24 hours. We test the bonding fl**ge drain connection to the p trap first. Then we fill it up with 2 inches of water to test our membrane and bonding fl**ge connection on the shower pan.

Shout out to Avila Tile for the great prep work and installation you see here. It's good to know I have a team I can trust to handle these things while Lex and I wrap up some project planning for next year.

Before blaming the manufacturer for tile quality, understand what the product is, what standards allow, and was it selected and installed accordingly.

Happy August everyone!! 🥵🥵🥵
Just a quick note to say that we are out of the office this week and will prioritize new emails next week in the order in which they were received.

Last week I had to have an emergency robotic laparoscopic cholecystectomy. That's right, I was operated on by a robot! 🤖 I'll save you from the graphic imagery of it all, but feel free to google if you have a strong stomach and are curious! 🤪🤢🥴

We'll be back to office work next week and will continue with planning for projects for Winter & Spring 2026/2027

To catch you up a little bit, we wrapped up the half bath we were doing last I posted and are now working on a hallway kids' bath in Lafayette which will be the 4th project this year at this home in Old Town; a kitchen plus 3 baths. No photos to share of those though, as we respect every homeowner's privacy, and not everyone wants their project photos online. This is something we include in all of our Remodeling Contracts, the ability for you to opt OUT of the photo release for promotional purposes.

We post on social media so that you can see our jobsites, how we work, and get to know us a little better, so please take a moment and look back at our FB page pics and vids over the last 10 years here in Lafayette & Louisville! 😇😘
