Smothered Steak & Gravy🥩
Ingredients:
• 4–5 lb beef (rump roast)
• Creole seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne, black pepper
• 1 onion, 1 bell pepper, 2 celery stalks (chopped)
• Minced garlic
• Bouillon or beef stock
• 3 tsp brown gravy mix (optional)�
• ~6 cups water�• Neutral oil for searing
Directions
1. Season beef generously.
2. Sear in hot oil until golden brown. Remove.
3. Sauté onion, bell pepper, celery. Add garlic.
4. Stir in gravy mix + seasonings.
5. Add water + bouillon/stock. Simmer.
6. Return beef. Cover & cook ~2 hrs until tender.
7. Adjust seasoning. Serve over white rice.
