I contacted Stephen and he immediately responded. He first provided me guidance of what I could do on my own to save me a diagnostic fee. I appreciated this feedback. Unfortunately, my system still needed someone to fix it.

"My pool pump would not prime. OC Pool Service and repair sent a technician 2 days later. The tech tried everything to get the pump to prime but to no good result. The person I spoke to (Steve) told me that he felt the problem was a water leak on the inlet side of the motor couplings. He said his experience told him that 99% of the time this fix works. We replaced the couplings and the pump was able to prime. Great.." says Craig on Google
