Please say a prayer for a security guard at Florida United Methodist Children’s Home who is in critical condition and fighting for his life. He was punched in the head multiple times in an altercation with a 14-year-old boy who attacked him. Deputies have arrested the juvenile suspect on a charge of aggravated battery on a uniformed security officer. The suspect is in DJJ custody. We will share more details soon but right now I just ask for everyone to keep this officer and his family in your prayers.

5 Security Officer Deaths in 72 Hours

At least five known deaths of on duty security officers occurred in less than 72 hours Private Officer International reported today.

Of those that died, three were murdered on the job:

Steven Daniel Holmes Charleston SC Feb 13 2021
Murdered while on duty at a night club.

Paul C Scott 33 Florida Feb 13 2021
Murdered while on duty.

Riyadh Al Janabi 23, Riverdale Park MD February 12 2021
Shot to death during a carjacking while on duty.

Two others succumbed to the Coronavirus.

Raymundo Gomez 56 Spring Valley NY Feb 10 2021
Died from the Coronavirus

Unidentified Security Officer Feb 11 2021 Manhattan NY
Died from Covid-19

There also two other unconfirmed reports of security officer deaths that have occurred during the past week.
