I’ve been playing around with beads and fixing a few pieces I had that needed restringing. All this inspired by finding some of my jewelry tools when we recently cleaned out the shed. When I ran into these colored fresh water pearls, I decided to get creative. The white pearls came from a piece that broke a long time ago. The enamel over sterling dragonfly with the jade center is actually an earring whose mate had long since flown away. The small silver beads are tiny hemitite coated beads. I had the clasp from an old project left unfinished. I used a simple crimp bead at each end and it all came together rather nicely, I believe. I’m going to enjoy wearing this.
