What a difference a couple of weeks makes!!
The growers are experiencing a little set back on what's coming out of the ground. The first few varieties they dug up were Grey Ghost and Postman Joyner and they just naturally make nice bulbs!!
As they're digging into some of the other varieties though things are a lot different. We need a Good Cold snap down here to start forcing these bulbs into dormancy. That's when they start to plumpen up real nice!!
The Caladium Industry the way I know it is changing drastically again this year!! Another grower has decided to give it up and retire!! The acreage being planted of this beautiful plant is shrinking in size here in Lake Placid and that's a shame!!
I'll have some nice bulbs this year. What and how many is yet to be determined though!! The caladium farmers could sure use a prayer to get this crop to where it should be!!!

We are now taking orders for shipping in the Spring of 2026.
We watch the weather across this country better than the weatherman and we can generally begin shipping to addresses that are South of I-10 about the first of March. With Mother Nature's cooperation we try to start shipping further and further North as the Low temperatures warm up. Caladium bulbs DO NOT LIKE cold or even cool temperatures for any extended periods of time!!!
Bulbs can very easily be damaged by colder temperatures.
We Guarantee our bulbs to grow with the condition that we're shipping them at the appropriate time!!! Orders shipped Before our recommended shipping time CAN NOT be Guaranteed!!!
The website is turned On although I WILL BE adding more varieties and Jumbo's and Colossal size bulbs as I learn what the harvest is producing. So far the bulbs that have ben dug up are Outstanding bulbs!! Quite a few of the varieties have sized up real nice!!

Well folks the 2025 crop is looking great!!!
The growers will start digging in a couple of weeks and we'll know more than but all indications are pointing to a very nice harvest!!!
I have a feeling that the Jumbo's and Colossal's are going to be plentiful. The Bigger bulbs compared to there smaller counterparts tend to mature a little quicker making them ideal for our Northern customers!! Our grade #1 bulbs are some of the Finest bulbs you'll ever see too!! We take A Lot of pride in offering nothing but the finest Caladium bulbs you can get!!
We'll be turning the website back on this week-end where we're begin taking Pre-orders for shipping to the Spring of 2026.
We generally begin shipping on or about March 1st depending on what Mother Nature is doing!!
