I have to address a major new trend everyone is asking about. The Post on pipe, the idea sound great no post in the dirt. Well after demoing a 1000 fences, post on pipe still rot. You're boring a whole into the bottom of the post that in time will allow access to moisture and future dirt and debris to buid and start infiltrating that hole. I see these rotten regularly. It's also almost impossible to pull the post off and replace it with a new one and it be a level post. I've been hearing this all over from other contractors bids and in my opinion it's just an upsell for them.
