🚧 TBT to 2003 in Chisago County, MN. 🚧

This photo captures one of our early stabilization projects, injecting a liquid stabilization additive with a CMI Roadbuilding Inc. RS 650. At the time, we were running both RS 650s and RS 800's, and today we continue that legacy with the PR1050 in our Cold In Place Recycling division.

Our team brings more than two decades of experience in stabilized full depth reclamation and soil stabilization. For years, we have combined stabilization additives with subgrade, base, and recycled asphalt materials, always prioritizing the optimized use of in place resources.

When applied on the right road, with the right materials, and at the right time, this approach has the potential to deliver real value:

🛠️ Save money
🛠️ Accelerate construction schedules
🛠️ Improve structural capacity
🛠️ Lower construction related emissions
🛠️ Reduce annual road maintenance costs

Want to learn more? Connect with our team at Midstate and put 20 years of experience to work for your next project.

The Beast of the Midstate fleet is ready to eat.

Soon, our Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR) trains will be in the cut, turning worn out asphalt into brand new cold mix. Leading the charge are our CMI Roadbuilding Inc. PR1050’s.

These massive, full lane, down cutting machines grind all day, every day, at depths ranging from three to five inches. That kind of production demands a powerful, well built platform, and year after year the PR1050 has proven it is up to the challenge.

Every machine leaves our shop at roughly 95 percent of new condition to start the season, thanks to the care and craftsmanship of our elite team of operating engineers, welders, and mechanics. High production does not happen by accident. It is the result of the right equipment, the right people, and pride in how the work is done.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about with CIR, give us a call and schedule a site visit. We would love to host you, demonstrate the process, and talk about how CIR can save money while extending the life of your pavement.

Equipment on trailers and trucks under low boys is a sure sign the 2026 construction season is about to get underway. It will not be long before the yard is empty and we are busy getting after it.

It truly takes a village to make a seasons worth of work happen. It starts in the shop with our industry leading mechanics and welders, then carries into the field where our talented equipment operators deliver for our customers every day. All of that effort is backed by a supportive and dedicated office staff that keeps everything moving.

We are excited to get back to work with longtime friends this season and just as excited to build relationships with new ones. The entire Midstate team would like to wish the entire contracting community a safe and productive 2026 construction season.
