Although I was not entirely satisfied with the results, my client was pleased and requested that I leave it as is. I believe they were eager to regain use of their room, which had been inaccessible for two months prior to contacting me.

On another note: A key takeaway from this project is the importance of ensuring adequate airflow for the drying process. In this instance, the mud sat for 40 minutes and still was not dry enough to knockdown.
