We’re just a few days away from Daylight Savings and spring cleanups are in full swing! We didn’t see much snow or moisture throughout the Green Mountain area this winter, which means leaves and pine needles didn’t decompose at the same rate, but it also makes for easier and lighter spring cleanups!

Before, during, and after photos of a job I completed recently. This customers xeriscaping needed a refresh. After grading and prepping the soil, I laid new premium landscape fabric, tightly pinned it, topped with 1.5” river rock, and finished it off with rumblestone edging. I dug in some Speedwells, Spirea, and Salvia with fresh soil to provide some texture and greenery, and while not shown in these photos I reseeded the grass areas that were looking thin.

This was a fun Odd Job that I completed several weeks ago for a repeat customer. They asked if I could assemble this bench glider and position it on the side of their house. To guarantee A+ assembly, I was extra diligent about ensuring nothing got scratched, lightly sanded the rough spots, and applied threadlocker where I deemed it beneficial. This project turned out great and should provide a nice place to relax!

New climbing wall! After decades of use the original climbing wall on this play structure was wearing through and splintering. I used smooth red cedar to build the new wall so it would naturally weather the elements but also be safe for the kids. I stained it to match the rest of the structure and installed it with new hardware. Here’s to many sunshine filled days on the playground!!!

The first day of summer is 2 weeks away and this backyard is ready for it! I snuck in this yard cleanup in between rain storms and gave the grass a fresh cut and edge. I was able to hand-pull most of the weeds and grass that creeped out over the edging, and cleaned up the stray pine needles/cones, leaves, and other debris. With some basic maintenance this property will be ready to go for the whole summer season!
