It's National Pollinator week!!!!

Pollinator Week is an annual celebration in support of pollinator health that was initiated and is managed by Pollinator Partnership. It was started 14 years ago and Pollinator Week has now grown into an international celebration, promoting the valuable ecosystem services provided by bees, birds, butterflies, bats, beetles, moths, wasps, and flies. It is a time to raise awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them.

The great thing about Pollinator Week is that you can celebrate and get involved any way you like! Popular events could include: Showcasing plants for pollinators, Creative displays with pollinator products in your garden center, hosting pollinator classes, putting good information in your newsletters and social media, participating in online bee and butterfly ID workshops, and so much more. However you choose to celebrate this year, be sure to register your event with the Pollinator Partnership, and share your story with them by tagging it on social media using the hashtag . For more info go to pollinator.org.

Support Seed Your Future and view a new movie - The Gardener!

On June 24th at 7:00 PM ET, The Gardener – a film that has been quietly building a passionate national following since its theatrical release this spring – will be available for a one-night virtual screening nationwide. Tickets are $12 and come with a 72-hour viewing window, plus access to an exclusive post-screening conversation with the cast and director.

Here's the part we're especially excited to share: 20% of proceeds from this screening will benefit Seed Your Future and our work connecting students to careers in horticulture.

The film follows a powerful businesswoman who retreats to a remote mountain garden cottage, where an unexpected connection with a mysterious gardener takes her on a journey of healing, self-discovery, and transformation. It's the kind of story our community understands deeply – that plants and the people who tend them can change lives.

Grab your ticket here. https://watch.eventive.org/thegardenermovie/play/69f683e4a9571a89456b8d40

Reminder: if you can't make it June 24th there's a 72 hour viewing window so you can watch when you want more than once!
We hope you'll join us and please share with friends, neighbors, or colleagues who could use a night of hope and healing.

Japanese Beetle Quarantine - Latest update info

Colorado has confirmed updated import guidance regarding Japanese beetle status for Oregon nurseries.

Following Oregon’s restart of its eradication program, the Oregon Department of Agriculture has reinstated the state’s Category 1 designation, and the Colorado Department of Agriculture has confirmed it will accept that status based on statewide survey results.

As a result, pre-notifications and CQCs are no longer required for shipments from Oregon into Colorado, and Oregon nurseries may resume shipping under standard protocols used in prior years.

This update applies to Colorado only; discussions are still underway with New Mexico regarding their import requirements for Colorado and Oregon.
