Follow up from yesterday’s post. The New View Townhomes are a mass of the same unit mirrored and stacked parallel to each other. Also know as row houses in some areas. Due to concrete slabs being poured on all three levels the structural solution was to use some manufactured shear wall panels or design concrete shear walls. The client chose the later. To be able to attach siding we had the client let in some Pressure treated nailers. Other than the thicker depth wall on the inside you would never know it was there.
