It's Jerry's birthday and spring is in the air! It's also Earth Day.
Fittingly Jeremiah Ford was an early enthusiast of sustainable design, and it always felt meaningful that this was his birthday. He took great pride in his work and was very pleased that his design for the Princeton Professional Park had received a Passive Solar Design award in 1981. 20+ years later, the Owner's of a double envelope house he designed in Princeton, were still so enthusiastic about its performance that they participated in the 2007 Princeton Green Home & Garden Tour! Jerry really enjoyed that day.

We miss you Jerry. Thank you for all the stories & the inspiration.

Monaghan, AIA will be bringing architecture to life during the Architect's Story Hour activity at libraries in Bucks and Montgomery counties. Recently at Columbia University, Moira McClintock and Erin C. Monaghan celebrated their commencement in the CU Grow Vendor Development program Cohort 9, Track1. CU Grow is an initiative led by the Columbia University Facilities and Operations group supporting executive decision-making and strategic thinking in the AEC built environment

We are grateful for the opportunities to grow Ford 3 under the guidance of CU Grow organizers, coaches, and industry experts. Congratulations to all graduates of Cohort 9!

A highlight of 2025 was receiving the Silver Medal for Architectural Excellence in Design from AIA Pennsylvania for our design of the Cedar Grove Community Center. This elegant building also received a 2025 Honor Award from AIA Bucks County and Honor Award from AIA New Jersey, a 2025 Social Impact Design Award from AIA Central New Jersey, and a 2024 Divine Detail Award from AIA Philadelphia.
Thank you to the judges for the hours spent reviewing many exceptional design applications. Thank you to our longstanding client, amazing team of consultants and talented contractors that made this project come to life.

Last week at the Tenacre Foundation, we held an evening of architectural remembrance for Jeremiah Ford III; an event that was both joyous and bittersweet in that he was not there to see the community that his leadership & work had created coming together for him. We spoke of Jerry as an architect, mentor & friend. But beyond that the word that kept coming up was family. Being an architect was not just a job to Jerry, it was an integral part of his being, his raison d’etre. And when you worked with him you were fully invited to be a part of that.
