Grief is such a visceral thing. The past two years have changed my life more than anything else ever has. In ways I could never imagine. Iām still grieving Hazel, and in the depths of it, is when Hazel in Bloom began.
To me, our event āRemember & Bloomā tomorrow, feels like an early birthday gathering for Hazel as we approach her second birthday. Weāre raising funds for Adalyn Rose Foundation in her name, and making space for families to remember their babies and feel less alone as well. I hope it blesses everyone who comes, whether they have lost a baby or not. It actually warms my heart to see the amount of tickets that have come in from extended family and support of those who have lost. This event is open to everyone, and tickets will be available at the ādoor.ā
Tomorrow is also a chance for us to celebrate what weāve built in this past year. At the end of this month, Hazel in Bloom will move to a new location. Weāll be taking everything we have learned from building this space, and carry it with us to where we are headed next. Hazel in Bloom is just getting started, and we are so blessed that we were able to find our start here.
To be honest, I donāt want tomorrow to come. Iāve put so much thought, work, and love into this event, I just hope it shows when tomorrow comes. It has been stretching and challenging, and more stressful than learning how to even farm honestly š
I want this event to be everything I dreamed it could be. I also know that grief doesnāt turn off just because weāve planned something beautiful. I may have some moments. š„¹š„ŗ Tomorrow holds remembrance, hope, sadness, and celebration all at once. Iām grateful to everyone helping us make room for all of it for everyone coming.
If youāre joining us tomorrow, we canāt wait to welcome you. Thank you for following along with the little farm weāve grown in Hazelās name, and for coming out to support others walking the same journey.
Next year will look different, but I know it will be what our family needs. Weāll carry Hazel in Bloomāand everything weāve learned and grown hereāwith us into this next season. And canāt wait to show you where we pop up next.
See you tomorrow!
