Our community projects reflect some of our most impactful work. We were especially excited when our work with CrossNet Ministries was recently recognized with a design award from AIA Central PA Design Excellence Awards.

This non-profit provides life-changing resources including transitional housing, career counseling, youth programs, and a food pantry and prepared meals for those facing food insecurity. We were brought in to help transform a 27,000-sf warehouse into a community hub, complete with a suite of new offices, food pantry, and an expanded youth center.

Design might feel more luxurious or bold in residential and commercial spaces, but some of our best work is in healthcare projects.

In these spaces, we have to take into account health and safety regulations as well as aesthetics that promote healing and positivity. Design principles that we incorporated as we planned more than 100 medical facilities and more than 1,000,000 square feet of space in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Residential home remodeler and long-time client West Shore Home has collaborated with us on several projects, including their headquarters in Westport.

Founded in 2006, the company is experiencing tremendous growth and expanding across the country with more than 40 operational locations across 17 states. TONO Group provided furniture planning and décor selections throughout the building. Through Interiors by DECO, our team procured and installed lobby furniture, executive furnishings, artwork and decorative plantings throughout the facility.

TONO Group recently received a Design Excellence Award from AIA Central PA for this residential project.

With a need for a dedicated work-from-home space that could also serve as a place for rest and relaxation, this family challenged our team to make the most of limited space within confines of their narrow urban backyard. The solution was a two-story, 930-square-foot accessory dwelling unit (ADU).

The resulting ADU holds an abundance of sunlight, features modern lines, and a mix of natural materials.

Every organization has its own culture, priorities, and ways of working, and the spaces they occupy should reflect them. Thoughtful office design starts with understanding the people who use it, including what collaborative and private working spaces should look like and how to best promote a healthy, positive environment.

Recently, TONO participated in a ceremonial groundbreaking for a new chapel with a lower-level fellowship room at Covenant Fellowship Church in Glen Mills, PA.

TONO Group has had the pleasure of working with this congregation on previous improvements, and this 3,000-sf addition will be our largest endeavor yet with this 15-year client relationship.

The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Pastor Jared Mellinger, while participants included PA State Representative Craig Williams, Bob Shields of Shields Construction Company, and Sharlee K. Van Tine, AIA, LEED AP for TONO Architects.
