The snow is melting finally! Unfortunately that also means spring clean up as the melting snow reveals all the things we had intended to get done last fall but didn't happen before the snow. The good news is we can alleviate a lot of that overwhelming feeling! We are doing spring cleanup projects!

Yes, in the early days of the U.S. Forest Service we actually used carrier pigeons to communicate from office to office like this situation with a ranger sending out a pigeon from South Sister on the Deschutes National Forest back in 1920.
